Yes, the "District of Doom" has produced exactly what it was said it might produce. If all three win this week, does anyone know if three teams from one district have ever played in Week 4 in any year? This is awesome and would set up the rematch of the two defending State Champions from 2009! I may have to take a week off to prepare!!!!

Snyder, Abilene Wylie, and Sweetwater did it in 2004.

Brownwood, Cove, and Waco did it in '06 I believe it was. Waco beat us out and both lost state game.

In 2006 in 4A... Brownwood, Copperas Cove, and Waco all three were playing in week 4. Waco knocked Brownwood out that week. Waco and Cove then both went on to lose in the championship games.

In 2a, San Augustine, Garrison and Timpson did it in 2003....Garrison beat Timpson in the Regional Finals.....closest game for Garrison during the playoff....then San Augustine and Garrison both won the SC.

San Augustine was 3rd place in that district.

I know in 04 Kilgore won state..Marshall lost in state finals by 2 and I think Jacksomville played in the regional final...all from same district..

I don't remember what the district number was but last year Pilot Point won the 2A Div-1 SC, Callisburg got beat in the Semi Finals and Aubrey got beat in the Quarter Finals. Celina, VA, and Argyle did something similar a few years back. And not to be forgotten, Stratford and Canadian (same district) both won state about 3 years ago.
Although rare, what the "district of doom" has done so far isn't seminal.
