They aren't even close to a Sinton or Sweeny. Oline is not that good, Line up #53 on Defense when needed and put the qb on the turf. I hate to sound like I'm looking past them.

#22 for CL broke several times for alot of yards just wasn't fast enough to get to the endzone. WC would have broke like that with that kind of an advantage would have = a touchdown everytime. He was a good RB just didn't have any top end speed.
They one good offensive line man. #50. but there is a real weak spot in there line and WC needs to expliot it. And get to the qb. CL defensive line is not anything like what we have. QB does have a good arm as long as he can stay in the pocket. There is just a huge advantage athletically, speed, and strength in WC's favor.

I agree. I don't think Somerset has gotten this far by being a scrub. Necks win, but closer than most think.

I know it was the CL highlights but boy, that Free Safety for Somerset looked suspect, especially for a kid apparently going to Wake Forest. They might want to spoke another high safety on the other half of the field if they expect to chase the WC RB's down...

Good lookin' WR's though for the Bulldogs. We'll see...gotta have time to get the ball off.

Buddy of mine from Lakeway went to see LT-KT on Friday and he said the same thing about Heroes. Very nice. Only bad thing for him was the traffic on 35 made him 15 minutes late to the game. I know Berry is nice, but I'm not a big fan of the overhanging deck design. That and the security.

To me, both Somerset and CL looked slow compared to the 'Necks. I've got a feeling that speed is gonna kill this week and Colombia rolls.

Canyon Lake coach Matt Monzingo, on Somerset quarterback Stevie Dorman, who led his team to a 25-24 victory over the Hawks last week with 326 yards, four touchdowns and no interceptions:

“We knew going in he had a lot of training, with the bloodlines he has. I think what amazed me most about him was how poised he was. Most good quarterbacks are. We had guys hanging on him, and he was still trying to make plays. We sacked him half a dozen times, but he never saw the rush. He was always looking for his receivers.

“He’s just what you look for in a quarterback, as far as reading defenses and being poised under pressure. When you go back and look at the video, you see how many guys who were either fixing to hit him or did hit him, and he was still making plays. At the time, it was frustrating. But after the fact, you have a lot of respect for that. That’s the mark of an outstanding quarterback.”
