I hope we get to beat Monahans or Kennedale in the Quarters... beating Snyder is getting boring. The Lions need some new blood...

A test for K'ville for sure... three losses by a combined 6 pts, including 14-15 to Prosper, and a 10 pt loss to the 10-0 Yoe. After stomping 9-1 Fairfield 42-0, they've got to be filling confident... lot of good games this weekend.

Gilmer +21? I'll take that spread.

And WC is the biggest favorite in class 3A going into this week's games along with Brownwood.

Sounds about right to me, and they were being conservative in my opinion. I know these scores don't mean anything, but they are hard to overlook.

Spring Hill 38, Van 7
Gilmer 76, Spring Hill 0

Of course, if you looked at those scores you'd think Gilmer should win by about 107 points..... Naw, Gilmer should win by at least a couple of TDs, but it IS the playoffs and anything can happen. I still say Gilmer takes care of business and advances to the next round.

I will love to see a Brownwood/East Texas SC game. I remember the Sville/LaMargue SC games when every single year (3-4 SC's Sville beat LaMarque) LaMarque would through the whole speed thing out there and say that Sville didn't have a prayer against them. We all know how those games ended up.

Looks like Kville got their choice there... supposedly GA Moore, previous Celina coach in case you're a young 'un, like to schedule the earlier playoff games on a Thursday so he could go scout himself on Friday nights, then opt for Fridays in the later rounds for the extra day to prepare.

i'd say thats what they want to do..
winner plays coldspring/columbus winner (that game is also in humble on friday evening)

i think that the next two opponents will be teams they already played this year tho. (coldspring and wos) we'll see how it all plays out tho.

Surprised Andrews is a 6 point dog at home on Friday night. Oh well, we shall see

You're dead right about it. They want early rd Thur. games to be able to scout Fri-Sat games. Alvarez knows what he's doing. It also keeps the kids fresh and focused.

Sounds a lot more reasonable now.

Can someone tell me what Allen/Euless Trinity spread is or how to look at the Harris Ratings?

Sorry MesquiteFan, I've already deleted the e-mail that I got my coaching buddy. I normally only copy and paste the 3A brackets.

No problem, bwdlions! I was just curious since all of the "experts" at the DMN are picking Trinity.
