I had heard that the Pittsburg/Gilmer numbers were reversed making Gilmer the smaller of the two. But, if these numbers are from the UIL, then they are probably accurate.
I don't think there's any doubt that Gilmer will go to the playoffs in 04, but I will tell you all (as if you didn't know) that it is very difficult to contend for a State Championship after losing 16 starters.
Of the teams in our pathetically weak district now, I think that Gladewater has an almost certain chance of making the playoffs, sending us the D2 route where I feel we have the best chance to make an impact.
Don't mistake what I am saying. The Buckeyes are going to field another very good playoff team. I doubt, though, that we can look forward to another run like last year. Then again, I guess that's why I'm not coaching.

Kennedale should have a lot of fun playing some of Forney's old district opponents...watch out for those Madison receivers though...I hear they're pretty fast.
