Congrats neck!

My mom just called and said the int. bounced on the ground said u can see the ref not even watching the play then makes a call that he didn't even see! ? For our coaches on that 1st punt what the hell was that?! That hurt more than anything else!:doh:

Interception i did see it so cant comment on it but those are the breaks.

What a game!!! Hey where's my buddy IHStangfan at now?lol mathis moved the ball on them up the middle on sweeps and through the air!! Mathis defense did come up with some good stops!! That int on the mathis 1 yrd len and them that fumble recovery!! Looks like the BMW rolls again!!! Great job to those Mighty Mathis Pirates!!! Who dat!!!! Who dat!!!!

I am assuming you are talking about the INT by #7 from Columbia, ball never came close to the ground. The officials were talking because he caught it, fell down, and then flipped the ball to the official. It looked almost like he didn't have possesion, but he was just trying to give the ball to the official. I was less than 40 yards away from the play.

i tell you what, i hope the Ingleside/Sweeny game is as good as the 2 from friday night. our two districts have shown how it SHOULD be done. classy programs on both sides of the ball, with classy fans on both sidelines. fans have fun talking trash all week, but all in good fun. when the game starts, the talk stops, and after the game everyone can shake hands.

i'll take the top 3 in D30 vs the top 3 in D29 anyday--win or lose. would love to see some non-district games with yall.

Let me first say that I'm not saying it should have been called, but I've seen that exact same thing called interferrance about half the time. The receiver and defender collided just before the ball got there and the defender caught it on his way down. I'm definitely not trying to take anything away from the defensive effort, the kid made a heck of a play on the ball for sure.

I watched that video on the Caller, and its at least 100 times easier to see it on the video, it happened much faster in game speed. And the camera had a much better angle than the official as to whether or not the ball hit the ground. I had the same angle as the official and I would have swore to you it was a clean catch.

I thought so too. My view was from behind the action and it looked to me he made the catch. I guess it was one of those spilt second things that always makes people wonder. I'll have to watch the video, I guess.

What a crazy crazy Bi-District round. I really don't even know where to start. It just goes to show that those boys all play those games for a reason....

Within their own districts:

Ingleside defeats Mathis
Needville defeats Sweeny

Then you get into Bi-D round and:

Sweeny defeats Ingleside
Mathis defeats Needville

Perfect example of the old "Team A beat Team B, and Team B beat Team C...so A should destroy C" ideology being TOTALLY irrelevant.

After I took a second look at that play, I was amazed that Willis fell completely on his butt & was still able to stretch out and get his hand in there. I can see why the coaches put that Sophomore back there (the athletic part, not the falling on his butt part :))
