Everybody wish Duckbutter a Happy Birthday. He turned 34 on Wednesday. Although I was not there to watch him blow out the candles, the little fly on the wall said that he wished for Newton to defeat Jasper tonight. .........We'll see. :D

Thanks you guys, it never hurts to ask for a little extra help for your team. This should be the game of the week in Texas. Newton has sold about 1,200 presale tickets so far so if anyone doesn't have a ticket yet they had better get there early. Looking forward to a hard fought, close game and I hope both teams are injury free. No matter what the outcome of this game is, dist.23 will be well represented in the playoffs. Are 2 state titles possible in the same district??? I think we have one hell of a chance at it. GOOD LUCK and GO EAGLES!!!!!!!

Sorry, still recovering from my birthday, it's district 20 not 23. That was last yr.

Still wrong in the district last year, been too much changing around the past few years, lol. Back in 2000 and 2001, Newton was in district 21, last time it was 23-3A was back in 1999, prior to Bridge City dropping to 3A. Either way, Good luck to your Eagles tonight! Wish I could make that game!!
