Texas State and UTSA to join the WAC conference in 2012

I think Texas State needs a new head coach to be able to compete on the next level but they have a good quarterback to build around with Arndt from Cuero

This is great news - I am happy for Texas STate for obvious reasons and I am excited to see how UTSA does - I think they are going to have a good team..

Distance to travel to games, that plus we're not doing too well in the conference we're in. Good thing Boise State is leaving!

Doesn't matter, I wasn't for the name change either. My ring and my diploma both say Southwwest Texas State University and I'm proud of it!

And life goes on . . . . . . .

I understand, my uncle and great aunt are both SWT alums as well and didn't care too much for the name change either but when I get my ring in a few weeks I'll definitely be proud to have it say Texas State University!
