Lol whatever happened to Texas State coming to the Big 12? They were set on getting in when I went on my lose 5 pounds while on a tour a few years ago.

1st sentence of the article explains it..
"Denver University, Texas-San Antonio and Texas State will join the WAC in 2012-13 to offset the departures of Boise State, Fresno State and Nevada to the Mountain West, multiple sources told ESPN.com."

I just wish they'd have DEFINITE sources listed.. I sure hope it's true :)

This is pretty much a lock, UTSA and TX State presented to the WAC last month and are said to already have the invitation in hand. They are waiting on the UT board of regents meeting tonight for the UTSA approval before they make the announcement. The WAC is also trying to get Montana.

Should help with recruitment in the state.

As far as the Southland I think they should look at Tarleton St, WT, or Angelo St.

the Tarleton basketball program has been trying to execute a plan to play in a D1-AA conference. No other sports could compete.
