Anybody else watch this last night on espn's 30 for 30 show? It is a 2 hour special on Marcus Dupree. Powerful story. It airs again Thursday night and is worth watching.

Btw, there are some amazing high school football highlights on the show.

Thanks for the information. I missed it last night but I will either watch it Thursday night or set my recorder.

Barry Switzer had one of the best running backs in the 80's and proved what a bonehead he was by letting (making???) him transfer. Dupree was a phenomenal athlete that needed an agent out of high school.

Wow, what an outstanding athlete. Also one of the saddest and most pitiful stories I can recall.

Several adults in his llfe should be lined up and have their a***s kicked. Borders on (most likely crossed the line) being criminal.

O.k., caught myself daydreaming about driving out to Mississippi and asking Mr. Dupree if I could have one of those sets of free-weights in the shed to take home; that have been sitting there for 30 years. I would plop it down in my garage. Would be really neat and inspiring.
