I would have to say this one, if its the one I think it is where midland came back and took the lead with less than a minute left only to give up a huge play to lose at the last minute.

So many good ones..

1) 3A Division I - Everman 25, Sinton 14 in 2001..for obvious reasons...it was our first title and one I'll never forget...each part of that day is etched in my memory....

2) 5A Division I - Converse Judson 33, Midland 32 in 2002....one of the most exciting games I've ever witnessed...such a range of emotions in this one...absolutely shocking ending....

3) 2A Division I - Farmersville 27, Tatum 24 in 2007....overtime in a state championship game?? Doesn't get much better than that...

4) 3A Division I - Wylie (Abilene) 17, Cuero 14 in 2004...Friday night championship games are the best...knock down drag out war in this one..

Gatesville vs Wylie, freezing cold at Birdville ISD. Great back and forth game QB keeper for the go ahead TD and then an interception to seal the deal.

I will have to second this one. I am glad they blew up Texas Stadium though.

The best Game of the Year if not the Decade was Region III Finals at Floyd Casey.

This is an odd one, but:

2003
2A Division I - San Augustine 28, Tuscola Jim Ned 7


Im a Brownwood boy, but both sides of my family, mom and dad were raised in San Augustine. My little cousin played on the team and they were a considered a group of misfits that finished 3rd in a really tough district....Garrison also won state that year out of the same district, and Garrison played the second place district team in the Quaterfinals that year.

The Jim Ned team was one of Brad McCoy's best teams and was led by Colt that year.

San Augustine had maybe 25 kids suited up and it looked like a, well looked like a 2a team.....Jim Ned, on the other hand had what looked to be 75+ kids suited up.....I think 9th grade on up were on the sideline.

Anyways, it was a great game and the SA defense took over sacking McCoy several times (my cousin got him 3 or 4 times) and shutting down the vaunted Jim Ned Offense.

Crazy game that was played IN San Antonio but not at the Alamodome. In the rain and Mesquite trailed by 13 at the half and came back and won it.

That was back before they built Horn and I would have gone to Mesquite.

I didn't realize that LH is one of the few schools to have beaten both Celina and Gilmer. Who's next---Brownwood? :D :devil:
