Liberty Hill's Defensive End...Brice Bishop

Bishop had a pic 6 late in the 4th quarter that led to the Panthers District Championship in Burnet. 17-13 was the final.

I don't have all the stats but, Brice also had several tackles...i'll get back with more details if I can find them.

Port Isabel RB C.J. Boyd

187 yards rushing with 2 rushing TDs. Also a 55 yard TD reception to make 3 total TD's on the night.

I don't have the official box score just yet but I will update this when I find it for his complete stats, mainly for his receiving yards. His rushing yards are accurate.

Jaxon Shipley gets overlooked every week, but he delivers game after game. I nominate him this week for his performance in last night's Wylie game. I copied this from the Brownwood Bulletin.

___ Jaxon Shipley scored four more touchdowns — three on receptions and one on a punt return — giving him a dozen trips to the end zone in the last three games. Shipley also surpassed 1,000 yards receiving with five catches for 137 yards. ___ ___ ___

5 catches for 137 yards and 3 td's, 1 rush for 18 yards all in first half.
Only touched ball once in the 2nd half and that was a 72 yard punt return for a td and that was the only time out of 8 punts the ball was not punted out of bounds

I agree with football sister. Barrett had an awesome performance Friday nite as football sister stated and he has been a pleasure to watch since early years. He stays calm & cool thru situations where most get rattled and shows leadership thru actions with few words. He receives little recognition but deserves top honors. Sealy has had many outstanding QB's but only a few have demonstrated the leadership qualities and skills that Barrett shows. He is often overlooked because of being a quiet leader. If you haven't seen him play, take time to watch him and the Tigers. When things are clicking (which is majority of the time) it's an awesome show and big things happen.

GO TIGERS!

Cody Barret gets my vote. the numbers don't do him justice, he was the glue that kept it together in a game where both coaches seemed to not want to risk an injury to their Running Backs + he had some WR's drop some balls that would have made his numbers even sicker, Cody looked like he was not to be denied, i wonder if he can play DE..
