Ingleside vs. Sweeny

Ingleside looks to have jelled at the right time. Ingleside is pretty balanced when it comes to running and throwing the ball.

Is Sweeny pretty much the same? Interesting matchup as this would be the first time that these two teams have played.

Any NORMAL year I'd pick Sweeny all the way as they have dominated this district since I've lived in Needville. They dropped one to WC last week and i thought "yeah, but WC is on fire this year" Then tonight they lose in OT to my Jays. They seem to be coming apart at the seams at the WRONG time.....whereas IHS seems to be getting it together. I'll take Ingleside in a battle

27-21 IHS.

That said...It would not surprise me to see Sweeny win either. They are a balanced team.

Ingleside receivers(twins) can take over a game and put points quick and Coach H is a coach that likes to strike quick and often. Sweeny is in for a challenge as i think Ingleside is peaking at the right time. Last year they had a decent offensive game against Cuero in region final but had no answer for Cuero offense and that was a stacked team that Cuero featured last year.

Ingleside's running game has greatly improved, M. Barolle is a sight to see. The young man looks like a pin ball machine bouncing off would be tacklers. Good young man lots of heart. J. Adame is also fast and can find the end zone very quickly. Ingleside has jelled at the right time for the young team that they are. this teams has improved in all areas as the season went on. Gotta go with the thundering herd, Go Mustangs!!!

Ingleside has a small, but good running back. I think he is about 5'4" and 140 pounnds soaking wet... lol, but he is hard to bring down. Obviously doesn't need giants holes ro run through, has very good speed, has a nack to spin off of hard hits. Has been really impressive since district play started. Oh and he is a soph. but he sure hasn't ran like a soph.

On paper it seems to be an even matchup and offensively are balanced like Ingleside. Ingleside has seen both heavy passing and rushing teams so I think they may have an idea of what they need to do defensively. This is going to be a good one. I am going to try and make this one.

Does Sweeny have lots of speed on both sides of the ball? Inglesides strength is that they do have multiple speedsters on both sides of the ball, but we a smaller in line size this year.

I haven't seen the 'Dogs play this year, but I have a pretty good source that tells me they have tons of speed on D and they swarm to the ball. Good against the run, and enough speed to go man against the pass. Some speed on O. Tre Lemon makes the offense work. Run from sort of a pistol formation.

Ingleside's defense has really adhered to the bend don't break policy with the exception of the loss to Sinton. I think the defense has been stepping up their play as well. I agree that more than likely this game will be a 7-10 point for either team.

Not too shabby for a Freshman. Win or lose he is gonig to get some great experience that is going to help him get to the next level very quickly. Looking forward to see how he does this Saturday and the next three years.

TO's are critical. Sweeny's offense can move the ball if they try not to think too much. The D is capable of being effective. We will see early what Sweeny teams arrives.

Can't answer that question because I don't know much about Sweeny. Ingleside runs the spread. I hope ya'll like jump-ball. The McHugh twins are great at that type of pass. We have a running back that is 5'3" and 140 lbs. As previously stated he is like a tasmanian devil. Very hard to bring down.

Just found out that Coach Hesseltine said he would not switch jerseys on the McHugh twins. The Mustangs did get new jerseys though. For some reason they all have No. 33 on them. :D

Yeah I met a kid a few years ago that could only move his left arm. He had MS. His older brothers died at 17 and 18 of MS. He was 16 when I met him. He was full of energy and loved the ladies.
