anyone have any info on the 14-3A qualifiers? Canton, Van and Wills Point are the main teams in question. Lindale definitely clinched the D1 slot.

mmhm! I'm a little bit concerned about that since the last time we met Giddings they were ranked #1 and we knocked them off in 2007 so they may be looking for blood. But then again... Brookshire has fared quite well against Giddings recently so who knows! That's why we have playoffs. :)

WO-S seems to be on quite a roll lately though and the team seems to have a mission like I haven't seen since the late '80's this season. Our two losses were to 10-0 Kirbyville and 9-1 (4A) Friendswood.

ALL 96 Playoff Teams are preliminarily placed in the brackets.. PLEASE let me know if there are any errors and I will correct them!

i know it sounds presumptous, but if anyone knows how we learn from previous losses, it's you guys......but the table could be set for a 3rd round rematch with k'ville.....:thinking: :thinking: :thinking:

Kirbyville has a tough road ahead of them... they didn't get the best draw by any means. More power to them though for being one of the smallest 3A schools in the state and going undefeated!

They lost to Rockdale 38-15 last night

...ended up in a 3-way tie for 2nd between Giddings, Rockdale and Caldwell (all with 3-2 district records) and Caldwell was the odd-man out in the tiebreak.

Damn...that close, eh? I dont know if we ever have played Sinton. One of our new coaches played there years ago, so he was excited to have the possibility to play them.

No question in my mind that if Cameron had remained 3A, they'd AT LEAST made a run to the 4th round in D2 as they'd likely been in the Navasota/Giddings/Rockdale district. Guess I'll bandwagon Navasota as my official 3A team this year. Go Snakes!!

Wow! D1 does look pretty weak.... 12 out of 32 teams have non-winning records

Whereas only 9 out of 64 teams have non-winning records in D2

True, but there's another way to look at D1... 8 out of 32 teams, or 25%, have lost no more than 1 game.
Only 13 out of 64, or 20%, of teams in D2 have a 9-1 record or better..

I'm amazed at how many teams have 3,4, or 5 (or more) losses in the playoffs. Not many 10-0 or 9-1 teams.

;) I was just about to point that out....if you look at the top teams in both divisions it kinda equals out strength wise. Neither division will be a cakewalk this year....except for Brownwood of course. (unless they have to play themselves.:D )

Looks like Celina, Cuero and WO-S all had bad nights tonight but all 3 will persevere I'm sure.
