Poor Sweetwater. That football programs not even close to where it used to be. But they're only about 150 students from a 2A enrollment

LOL, this is funny coming from someone from Andrews. Sweetwater will be back in full force next season. We've known all along we were going to have rough seasons in 09 and 10, with all the underclassmen, new coaches, new schemes, etc... Better watch out next season and beyond. It's all coming together now.;)

Don't take the comment so personal. Just stating facts about enrollment and the fact that Jackson was a finalist for the Andrews job 2 years and when he wasn't hired at Andrews jumped ship as fast as he could and left Sweetwater. I'm sure he knew what was coming up at S'water and one of the reasons he left. (besides the fact that SISD is on the low end of the pay scale)

Yeah, it's been a tough couple of years. I figured the new system would take time to learn
and there was an obvious improvement between last year and this year. But, the talent
level just isn't where it usually is. As far as enrollment, I don't buy into that. Tatum beat
us in the '05 semifinals, on their way to the SC, with one of the smallest enrollments in the
state.

In west texas you don't have the athletes like they do in east texas year in and year out. Of course you'll have a year every once in a while but over time more to pick from usually means more wins. And no, Andrews isn't still 4A but right now with about 930 kids @AHS and about 736 @ Andrews Middle School(grades 6-8) in a few years we'll be close to the cut-off line. Hopefully they'll keep moving the 3a-4a cut-off line up. Better to be a big 3A than a small 4A. Plus they're aren't any other 4A schools left in west Texas:cool:
