Just looking at the Region II poll here on the downlow..

1. Argyle (9-0)
2. Celina (9-0)
3. Lucas Lovejoy (8-1)
4. Carthage (7-2)
5. Dallas Madison (8-1)
6. Gilmer (6-3)
7. Henderson (7-2)
8. Lindale (6-3)
9. Texarkana Liberty-Eylau (7-2)
10. Canton (8-1)
11. Prosper (5-4)
12. Pittsburg (6-3)
13. Sanger (9-0)

Crazy to me that undefeated Sanger is 13th and ranked behind a 4-loss team (Prosper) and three 3-loss teams.

If they can beat Argyle, they will gain a lot of respect. They are getting none right now.

Just a thought.

In all seriousness, IF Sanger beats Argyle it WILL take the
respect meter off the charts...

If Argyle doesn't win impressively, they could actually lose some
stature in some eyes. The unfortunate result of success and
expectations.

True.... in several of the polls turned into 3ADL, Sanger wasn't even IN the top 25 and ranked 20-25 in a few others. Sanger should be looking at tomorrow's game as their title game...why not?

I saw Sanger struggle with a very sub-par Whitesboro and they almost got outplayed by a questionable Gainesville team.
Sanger will play, but it wont be enough. I predict most of their points coming against the Argyle 2's.

Argyle by 30+

Why don't you just say that you hope Argyle gets stomped?---better yet, as you are supposedly a sportswriter---try making some realistic predictions with maybe some un-biased discussion?

yeah, sportswriter doesn't work for me either for two reasons:
#1 you have to be able to write
#2 assuming #1, at least 1 person must care to read it

I will let the rankings speak for themselves. If i thought that Sanger was going to hang with Argyle then they wouldnt be #13. But based on their schedule i think the teams in front of them would beat them. that simple.

I would almost bet that Sanger's schedule is very comparable to Celina's schedule, probably a little harder in fact.

Dallas Madison is always overrated....and I bet Sanger could beat Canton and Prosper and Pittsburg, but that still don't move em up very far just yet....

No matter how they are rated, they have to survive Argyle
and then get passed the the BigC and Lovejoy.

Overrated? I don't see that. I would say that Madison is UNDERrated. They will see either Argyle or Carthage eventually, but Lovejoy is D1 so they won't see the Leopards.

Madison has an easy district every year....they rarely go past rd 2 in the playoffs....and I'm bettin they can not beat any of the teams ranked higher than them in the region

Look Sanger has played a schedule that might be close to Celina however Celina always wins by at least 20 with the game over at the half. Sanger is fighting to survive the game against GAinesville and Whitesboro gave them fits as well.

hmm . . . One team is accustomed to playing hard the whole game. The other is accustomed to playing a half. If talent is equal, who has the advantage?
