The Really SUPER SECRET reason I became a DONATING MEMBER...

...is because this is a really great site that has some really great members. I want it to be around a while. The admins asked for some financial help and I was one of several who responded.

Thats it. That's the SUPERSECRET reason that everyone pitched in to donate. Just to keep the 3ADL around for everyone.

It wasn't because of wanting a new icon by name to make others feel inferior. It wasn't to get a new forumn to make others feel inferior. It wasn't to make anyone feel inferior at all, ('cept Decatur people, JUST JOKING! wink )

Now, if the admins want to show their appreciation for donations in ANY way, then that is fine. Manners and Hospitality say when offered a gift, recieve it well to complete the spirit it was intended.

If I get a neato logo, or different tag by name, then that if fine. If the admins offer a private formun for donating members, then that is fine too. I probably would visit it, but it wouldn't change my habits and postings on the 3ADL forumn that everyone goes to and posts too.

I think everyone needs to chill out and read the entire thread of some of these topics before overreacting.

Just my $.02...Ditto. Gee, it comes across like a separate section is going to be something SINISTER. Get real! I can't even conceive of what we'll talk about, but it was offered and if anyone wants it, well that is just the way the world is. I think I can SAFELY say, not one person donated because of any reason except to help keep 3ADL operating. I just wish I could have given more.

You explained it all...Just the way I feel. I like hanging around here and discussing football with my friends. This is a great site. So when the administrators said they needed a little help, I was glad to chip in.

Before you respond to any of my posts negatively, look for the donating memeber icon by my name, and remember, I am paying for you to have the priveledge of using this sight! RIGHT? ONLY POST IN AGREEMENT WITH DONATING MEMBERS (DM)?

If being a donating member (DM) was supposed to help us be superior to non-donating members, someone with Admin powers would have us all listed in order by how much we donated, from greatest to least, so everyone could see just how rich and important we are, RIGHT?

NOT! We're all equal, except for the fact that when the question was asked, DM's were ABLE to respond. How many DM's payed while thinking "Why am I having to cover for everybody else?" NONE!

If you're not able to help, so be it. I could, and I did. I'm no better or worse than anyone else, except I will accept a separate forum IF IT IS OFFERED, because it wasn't requested by anyone.

Let's not make this a sore subject. It's like the Freedom we enjoy in this great country called TEXAS - It has a price, paid in full, and while not paid by every person, every person has that right.
