View Full Version : Your 9-0 Fairfield Eagles take on a tough 4-5 Madisonville Mustangs at Home!

Throw the records out the door. The Mustangs are 4-5 but have probably played the toughest schedule among 20-3A teams when this season is all said and done(for ten games.) They come off an impressive 45-14 win over Palestine. They have already handily beat Mexia and can win the District Title with a win over the Mighty Fairfield Eagles. They are 3-1 in district with their one loss coming to Groesbeck.
Fairfield dominated every game until Groesbeck put a little autumn chill last week with a ton of resilience and a no-quit attitude, to boot.
Fortunately, the Eagles showed they were more than equal to the traits showed by the Goats last Friday night.
This game might go down to the wire because it could decide who wins the District Championship and/or who can win it outright.

Mustangs recovered a fumble at the Eagles 34 with a few ticks left in the half.

Eagles's Roberson intercept the first play back on defense.

Did you check out Madisonville's total schedule? They played one of the hardest pre-season schedules in region 3.:rolleyes: :p

That district is so weak it's not even funny. Will probably get swept in the first round. Madisonville has 5 losses are they're probably the best team in it. :doh:

From 1-9 to 9-1 Ill take it these kids worked their butts off for this turn around and we're missing a few key guys but no excuses we played sloppy football but I don't feel like listening to an arm chair quarterback after a gut wrenching loss.
