Its all about matchups. If you can isolate your tuba player on one of thier trumpet or flute players, your gonna win that match up.

I figured it'd be a possession game... you march around the field long enough the other band doesn't have a chance to take the field.
jk, no offense intended to parents with kids in the band...I'm one of those that stays in my seat at halftime. :)

Got a couple from JV but I hear there is a kid down on the Freshman squad that plays the triangle and has real quick hands.

Anytime kids are successful at something they work hard at, that is a good thing.

Gville band...not good at all...hate to use the term "bad" because it's kids trying hard, but that's what it is...got 12th place out of 12 bands in Aubrey a few weeks ago...they let the best band director they had in 20+ years go after last year to save some money.

Bands are a critical part of a Friday night football game. It would not be the same without them playing the National Anthem.

However, after that, they could go home.

your silence is deafening Keith. We have no choice but to accept what we already knew and that is you're as full of junk as a Christmas turkey. That being said it takes all types and I do find you're musings humerus much like I find Larry the cable guy entertaining.

maybe i'm just not nice, but all I got out of all this crapola^ was "didn't play college" and "no state titles". I will go ahead and say the Argyle Band is more impressive with a trophy case that contains like 5 state band championships in the last 7 years...

starting your list off with little league and pee-wee was a little weird... almost pathetic you had to dig so far for glory. Congrats on being a hs letterman tho. The rest to me is just adding age to my eyeballs.

Wow Dude!
Did you really do all of that? I must say that I am impressed!

However, as has become the norm, you are wrong again. Argyle has a kid in the band that has accumulated a current 21-1 record in football and has been at least 3 rounds deep in the playoffs, with a high probability that he will see at least that again this year. Now he also has a SC in band.

Keep us posted on the Yahoo sports thing though.

Question...During the State Championship football games, what do they do at halftime?

Would be pretty neat if the 3A Band Champion played during the 3A Championship football game, same with 2A, 4A, 5A etc...

Just me daydreaming.:)

nothing like going to scout a game and the halftime shows of the two bands last longer the the first half of football played.
