I am going to go with Sinton on this one. Since the break they have been on a role. Offence has done a great job of moving the ball and the defence has been holding their opponents to 7 points a game. Mathis is at home on this one and after two straight loses, they will be hungry and not ready to throw in the towel just yet. They were knocked out last year and don't want to miss out this year. Sinton will win a close one. GO SINTON PIRATES!!

I agree on that.Traditionally,Sinton doesn't play very well in Mathis.Mathis has more at stake than Sinton so that could be in Mathis favor.But I think Sinton wins it by 12.

Sinton and Taft have been rivals for so long but I imagine Taft will want Sinton to win this one so they can get into the playoffs. Of course Taft has to also beat Aransas Pass in Aransas Pass. Taft might ought to send someone to the Sinton pep rally with posters to support Sinton. That would be ironic.

Mathis is gonna be a dangerous opponent. Coach Soza will have those boys prepared and sky high. Sinton's in for a fight next week.
Just got my computer fixed cuz my RCA camera program somehow corrupted my tcp/ip. Jeez, Microsoft loves me and the $35 I spent to get back online.

I don't think Mathis has enough this year to take Sinton. This game could be settled by two touches or less, but I'm fairly certtain Sinton will win.

Mathis, to me, always seems a little cocky. They come in with high expectations and lose greatly. I think Sinton will win this by three touchdowns. GO PIRATES!!!

What happened to Mathis? They started out so good but have faded lately. Heard that their quarterback and a defensive end were kicked off for drinking and drugs. Anybody know anything about this?

Sinton has clinched District and Mathis must win to make the play-offs. So it's possible that Sinton may not be as geared up for this game as usual. But I don't think that will be the case.
Sinton and Mathis are rivals and Sinton will be inspired by playing the role of spoiler. Sinton by 21.

There was a rumor circulating that two or three players were suspended, but I didn't hear why. I did hear that the QB was out with an injury.

my dads coworker did confirm that htey were suspended for reasons specified in an earlier post... his son is on the team i believe...

I think Sinton will win but Mathis will be playing tough especially since it is at their home. Sinton needs to win not to put Mathis out of the playoffs but they still need to win to win the District Championship outright because if they lose and West Oso wins they would both have 4 - 1 records and technically be co-champions. Also Sinton needs to win to keep the momemtum going for the playoffs. I look for it to be a close game with Sinton coming out on top.

It'll have to be 75, I'm staying in Magnolia this weekend. Wish I could go, but can't. MP1 is still MP1, but he is a coach at Cuero now according to a statement he made on the Caller forum.

I doubt Sinton will have much trouble with Mathis. Taft managed to beat them, West Oso slaughtered them. They will play us tough, but Sinton will win this one.

Did anyone "hear" anything about some Mathis fans vandalizing Sinton cars at the girls volleyball game a few weeks back? Just "heard" that some fans splashed PAINT on any car that had the Sinton stickers...can anyone confirm. This was the first I heard anything about it!! eek!

There was shoe polish on one of Sinton's starting LBs truck(C. Threadgill) and the volleyball bus...said things like MLP(mathis lady pirates) and gata(get after their @$$)
the first string mathis quarterback is out with a knee injury...i think he tore some ligaments
their 2nd string quarterback was caught with weed and are left to play sinton with their third string quarterback which is possibly the quarterback from the JV
Sinton wins by 21 but there are going to be a lot of flags thrown against sinton
last year at the JV game it got so bad that the ref's had to call an official time out in the 4th quarter to get an escort to walk them out of the stadium(yes, at a jv game)

Mathis 7 Sinton 0 Start of 4th quarter. Sinton was on Mathis 1 yard line and threw an interception. Was told that Sinton has made alot of mistakes. Seems like they are playing like the beginning of the season.
