Nacadoches and Jacksonville. I dont know if anyone posted this or not so enjoy

Nac had to win by 8 to make the playoffs, so when jax made a fg, they had to make a FG, and if jac missed an xtra point they had to miss it also, because they need to win by 8 There is an audio somewhere I listened to it last night

\You dont understand if jax scored 6 Nac had to score 6 if jax screwed up, then nac had a shot but needed to win by 8 or more so to just kick a FG was no good, so they played tit for tat, OT after OT trying to get jax to screw up and then score a TD and 2 point conversion...but they fumbled it away in the 12th OT

Heres another link that explains it better...still searching for the audio...it is bizarre to listen to:)

It took over five hours and twelve overtime periods for the Jacksonville Indians to defeat the Nacogdoches Dragons?final score, 84-81.

The game, that set a national record for overtime periods, was tied 28- 28 at the end of regulation, and then played for almost another 2 1/2 hours.

Jacksonville only had to win to advance to postseason play but Nacogdoches had to win by more than 7 points to keep the Dragons playoff hopes alive.

On more than one occasion, Nacogdoches could have won the game by converting a two point conversion, but did not, intentionally deciding not to try to score to force the teams into another overtime session.

In the 12th overtime, the Dragons took possession, but fumbled inside the Indian's ten yard line. Jacksonville took six plays to move to the two yard line, before Rodrigo Carreon's 19-yard field goal ended the battle around 12:52 AM.

The loss eliminates Nacogdoches (3-6, 2-4) from playoff contention and next week they will finish their season on the road at Hallsville.

Jacksonville (7-2, 5-1) will be at home next week against John Tyler, in a game that will decide the district championship.

honestly our d played one hellluve a game. we were asking kids to let the other team score so we could go all out and stop them on a 2 point conversion. the d coordinator called a great game and our kids played their ass off. i am so proud of them and they deserve better but were screwed by some lousy point system that should be outlawed

the chronicle quoted the coach saying they had to win by 8 which is why he played it as he did....where do you think the miscommunication is?

Nac had to win by 7, but a 7 point win wasn't possible in OT, so it had to be by 8.

Yep. The mandatory two point attempt past double overtime rule.
