17-7 Aggies now. Tannehil is 17-21 for 220 already. JJ's days as QB look to be done if he keeps this up.

Weird, I was just thinking that. What's up with Aggie QBs always losing their spot after being so successful for 2-3 years before?
Is it a fan base that exerts a lot of pressure on their inept coaching staffs because they expect too much, have unrealistic exceptions and are oblivious to their programs relevance in college football? I feel like it always comes down to the Aggies impatience. Lately they have been having lackluster years in terms of their expectations and I feel like they put a lot of pressure on the staff to give the "next young stud" a chance. The boosters should just push to hire a coach that's actually won football games in college and not push for QB changes and it might solve all their woes.

Tannehill has 435 yards passing. Johnson might not ever see the field again unless in mop-up duty.

Good to see that Tannehill is looking sharp like everybody outside of Sherman thought he would. I still think JJ would have had a better year if not for the shoulder surgery. Sad way to end a record career at A&M.

He might be overrated but good grief. Yeah, I know, we need to give Tubberville time to get his recruits in. Seriously? Have you ever been to Lubbock? It's not like recruits are beating down the cotton fields to get there, even with winning seasons. Leach had us in a bowl game every season. At this point, our best hope for a win the rest of the season is Weber State. Where the heck is Weber State? I don't even want to think about what OU & Mizzou are going to do to us! :ack!: :ack!:

"I like that people are disappointed. They should be," Tuberville said. "But it's not the end of the world because there is another day. And I'm telling Texas Tech fans right now that we're going to be fun to watch." AND Tuberville said he'll make "subtle" changes in the offense to "enhance" it. There will be more running, but the passing game will remain -- and improve. link (http://www.crescent-news.com/news/article/4745934) Really? Fun to watch? Subtle changes? AND Tuberville said: "I told them before the year started, I said, 'Guys, you've got to understand this now. We're going to have setbacks unless we just play way over our heads early. It's hard to do that in both this offense and defense that we're playing, because it's new to everybody. So if we have setbacks you've got to make sure that you understand that goes with the territory.' Now, here in three or four weeks you can't use that as a crutch.'' link (http://collegesportsblog.dallasnews.com/archives/2010/10/texas-tech-coach-tommy-tuberville-other.html) So is it subtle changes or a new offense?

Wait a minute! Defense wins championships. Unfortunately, our defense is playing as bad or worse than the offense. I guess we can take comfort in the fact that we gave Baylor their only loss of the season. :(
