Great comic artwork L4-8. I can't wait to see the new scoreboard posted after Friday's game, but I just don't think even reality will slow down Garcia! He looks like he will remain in denial no matter what he sees--much unlike TheVille who talked smack before Sville and Bwd played, but then he posted "THE TRUTH" about Brownwood and shed his denial skin. He has even warned other teams about the abilities of this Lion team. The train is coming--there's no stopping it! Get off the track or get runover! LOL :hairpunk:

Believe it or not Rocket most of the people on this board realize at the end of the day these are KIDS we are talking about that give their all on the field every week and we are all lucky enough to get the pleasure of watching. I never thought you could get more arrogant than you had been before but I was wrong. I've said it before but I'll say it again....Brownwood has something special this year and it's fun to watch them succeed. Thank goodness your players and coaches seem to recognize and appreciate that. I'll be at the game this Friday to watch Brownwood and Wylie. My comment was aimed at the smack talk side of things. Sorry about Nasser. He's a great player. I've said that over and over. Graylon Brown is a great player too. Last year when we were struggling to run a play against a dominant Wylie team, it didn't really seem to matter... Just saying...

Abilene Wylie and Brownwood should be in class 4a and you know it. In a few more years you will be. Ab-Wy is down the road from the mall in city limits of 100,000 population. Somebody from the uil must like you.Brownwood over 25,000 pop.All them state titles back in good ole days.Big town schools beating up on small schools. SHAME ,DISGRACE, PATHETIC.

Brownwood hasn't had over 25,000 population since Camp Bowie was big back in the 40s.

Brownwood is right at 20,000 people, but it's mostly old people, not to mention 6 other public high schools in a county of only 38,000 people, plus a private school in Bwood takes away from our enrollment.

Im sure your parents were very good people and dad never intentionaly showed that he was disapointed. Im sure he didnt pressure you either. Coaches can tell when a kid is just plain afraid or not. Im sure it was all on a subcontious level. I would bet that most of the problems were on your side of the coin. I mean alot of the disapointment was felt by you. Its not like it makes you a bad person or anything. I think many young men just get scared of the contact out there. They just dont like to get hit or hit. Thats Normal. Not everyone can play the game. If it were easy you would have many more playing the game than you do now. Thats why you have Band, Soccer,Tennis, etc... What im saying is that most the folks who talk such a big one have played some big ones. You just Talk more than anyone and stick your foot in your mouth more than anyone. Thats why you take so much flack.

BM- I see your points. And just know that my smack talk has nothing to do with my disappointments in myself. I've crossed the line some, and apologized, too if I thought I needed to. Some people hate me, some people like me. Thus is life...but me and my smack is just what it is, smack.

I coached football. I know what it takes to play it well. And my ability to coach it had nothing to do with being able to play it. And I'm an excellent WR, just wanted to take my talents to the hardwood. I still play flag football and love it.

So let's all bow down to BM, the psychiatrist/coach. How unworthy am I to talk smack about football. And how perfect is he. You see, I don't judge you by your posts, cuz you are a coach and you have a thin line on a public forum. I judge you on your team, and I would have to say pot, meet kettle on this one. ;)

I also dont feel a need to fill some need or make up for something in my past by posting or running a website either. I have to admit it though. Last years game was early in district. Still time to work on things. This year it's playoff time. We need to play 4Q and get after a team the whole game. I would absolutely love a good close game that feels like playoff game.

Yes he will. I was just having a little fun. We have pulled the starters when in the 3 rd quarter after 1 or 2 possesions. I could see him making them play 3 quarters since this is the last reg season game. He and the staff are classy.

I don't think anyone realistically doubts the outcome of this one, but I will make this prediction---after watching Sandifer's teams for years---I think Wylie will acquit themselves better than many think in this one. May not be that close in the end, but I'll bet my last dollar that Brownwood is going to have to work from the opening kickoff and not make many mistakes. We all well know what the Lions are capable of doing, and we will see if they sustain that level of play again this week agaist a savvy coach and some game Wylie kids.

Classy post, but very unrealistic. Our defense will chew Wylie up and the offense will score when they want. A good team handles business no matter who they play, they don't play down. Brownwood will jack Wylie up.

You need to understand that paybacks are Brownwood paying back Wylie for last year. It won't be a fast death, but the invisible poison Brownwood pours in every team's drink they play. And Wylie will drink it like ccmom drinking wine in the 3rd Quarter against Graham. ;)

that's funny! hey ccmom...i have a question...what does the volleyball teams trip to the regional tourney look like? i say they will roll pretty easy through the competition, but wanted to hear what your take was on it...i would LOVE to see them beat lovejoy in the state finals!

So, do you Brownwood posters expect that y'all will fill the stands Friday night? When I went to Brownwood/Snyder game there was a good, loud crowd..but still some room on the visitors side, even with all Snyder Welcoming Committee sitting over there.

I know this game doesn't have any playoff implications for Brownwood, and nobody expects it to be much of a contest. Since it's closer than Snyder and since the district trophy will be presented after the game, do y'all expect you will bring a big crowd?

I don't think they will bring a crowd. I heard that most of them are going to watch the team play that they think they will be playing in the SC game. They won't tell me who they think it will be. :D

I would expect a bigger turnout than the Snyder game. Thats a pretty good trek from Brownwood. Abilene on the other hand, barely an hour.

Brownwood has put up a lot of points this year but I don't believe they have run up the score. I was just giving Rocket a hard time about his 80-7 prediction. When you have that much depth, even your backups are scoring a lot. Wylie will play hard but we are way down this year obviously, and ya'll are way up. I honestly don't expect much of a game, but always hopeful.

I think Mike Leach said it best. I agree with him. I don't put much weight in anyone getting their rear burnt up over high scoring.

He said this after he hung 70 on nebraska a few years back.
