Tonight the Granbury Pirates broke their playoff drought that dated back to 1987 in dramatic fashion - kicking a last second FG to defeat Burleson 24-21. Our seniors have gone from 2-28 over the last three years to 6-3 this year. It wasn't easy, but our kids believed in themselves and worked hard every offseason and summer to help change the culture around here. What an awesome night for our school and community. I hope every school that is down gets to experience this feeling someday.

Best of luck to your favorite school in the 3A playoffs!

No, the new staff came here in 2008. He was with the previous group I believe.

My daughter is in her first year teaching, and she is at Granbury. All she heard is how, in the past, the football team could not win, but things were going to be different this year. Well, things have changed! Congrats to the Pirate Nation!!!!
