What a game, Bellville girls look very good tonight beating #6 Columbus 1st game Bellville won by a slim margin, 2nd game Columbus won by 8 or 10, the 3rd game Bellville had to score 32 to win, and the 4th game Bellville won by a close margin. Way to go Bellville and Columbus will be District Co-Champions, with a play-off between them for seeding in the play-offs. Good luck to both teams in the post-season. Will it be both that will meet for the R3 championship again?

Congrats to the girls and Coach Brewer. Back in the playoffs after a one year hiatus. If I am correct that is like 27 out of 28 years she has made the playoffs and 8 state championships. I may be off a year or two, but I think that is what I heard. Whatever it is that is one stellar record.

No doubt about it. Coach Brewer will go down as the best high school volleyball coach on any level in the state of Texas. Those teams in the 90's were so fun to watch.

Good luck to the Brahmanettes Friday! Coach Brewer has some good talent on the way as the JV team, which was all sophomores, went 23 - 4 this year, with their only losses to 5A schools.

Bellville can live in the past specifically because their are many fond memories from all of the state titles. Columbus doesn't live in the past because they is nothing worth remembering. It's sad you are this jacked up about a volleyball team that didn't even with the district title outright. Have a good day. Gotta go buy more state trophy polish now. I used it all on the first couple trophies. Need to buy several more bottles

I just looked at the bracket schedule and if Bridge City gets a win over Liberty over at Barbers Hill gym at 7:30 pm this coming Tuesday night---then they are in line to play Columbus the following week.

And Brewer didn't play on varsity team in East Bernard under Norma Pullin who has 13 state championship in three enrollment classifications

Gradauted with Susan in 1973-She played tennis and still coaches I think tennis as well in Belville

Susan was a super classmate and we were close friends-That was so long ago
