Navasota was the underdog coming in but the victor going out after earning a 34-20 win over previously unbeaten Caldwell. Navasota QB Ian Day rushed for two second-half touchdowns to help his team move into sole possession of first place in District 23-3A with a 3-0 record. Navasota is 6-2 overall.

Also, Congrats to our neighbors 15 minutes to the north of Navasota...The A&M Consolidated Tigers!


A&M Consolidated pulled off an impressive 24-10 upset against previously unbeaten and state-ranked Copperas Cove to take control of the District 12-5A race. It was the seventh straight win for A&M Consolidated, which clinched a playoff spot and is now 7-1 overall and 5-0 in district play. RB Chris Nutall led the Tigers with 168 rushing yards.
