Prayer Request in Mathis

[Lake Pirate]

Those that attended, or who saw film of the Mathis V Ingleside game may have noticed that the Mathis Pirates and fans wore pink. That was done to promote Breast Cancer awareness, but closer to home, it was done in honor of Margie Gonzales mother to Mathis Pirate, Danny Gonzales #50. Margie was home during the game, in the final stages of her battle with cancer. Early in the fourth quarter Margie passed. Danny was rushed from the sidelines to her side, but returned to his team before the end of the game. That's why some of the players cried after the game, not because of the loss, but because of "The Loss". We ask that Danny and his family be kept in your prayers. On his behalf, Thank You.
