I never been to a 42 contest, but sounds like it might be fun to watch.

I love to play MOON myself.

Played a pretty good game over in Gonzales a few weeks back with a few guys at Lotties.

Gee that brought up some old memories...I used to sit and watch my German grandpa and grandma play that on Saturday nite at their house, with my Aunts and Uncles. I never could understand how you counted the dominoes. I would love to learn how to play now!

Played a pretty good game over in Gonzales a few weeks back with a few guys at Lotties. You ought to go take a look, there will be over 120 teams. Winners get $$$$ and big trophy. I think they get half the pot, the rest goes to Hville Chamber of Commerce. Prizes go out to 1st, 2nd, 3rd and Consolation.

I never could understand how you counted the dominoes. I would love to learn how to play now! It's kinda like playing spades. Instead of cards, you use dominoes. There're some more stuff to it, but that's pretty much the jist of it. Call a trump, and you try to pull as many tricks as you bid.

Did you guys know there is a super computer version? Check it out at:
http://www.ccdominoes.com

Old Green, he has a MOON version too. wink

There is a free demo version available for download. If you end up buying the software, you can even play online. It's pretty cool, and good practice. Just don't listen to Curtis' advice. I could kick his butt in 42 if he plays the way he advises. wink

It's free, download from the internet, takes about a day to recieve membership. Tournaments every 2 hours. Or you can just play by yourself. Play with others, it's a good site. Make your own rules.

Everytime i go home for the weekend, kids just have to play 42. When I was a Scoutmaster at home, I taught my entire Scout Troop to play also. Played to the wee hours of the morning out on camping trips many times.

I play MOON every chance I get and still suck at it... My problem is that I play too conservatively, need to start shooting/double-shooting etc... more often...

Okay, this is a little off topic, but does anyone here play Texas Hold 'Em Poker? I have got addicted to this game last year.

For about 2 months I made playing Texas Hold 'Em Poker at Yahoo.com a priority... Haven't played it in a while but I love it...

I love playing Texas Hold'em....My daughter's BF taught me how to play...it's a lot of fun, also love to watch it being played on cable in Las Vegas......seems to be a real popular game now.
