Robstown vs. Orange Grove

The Robstown Cottonpickers are one game away from clinching their second playoff bid in 3 years. Last week vs Miller wasn't the pretties of wins but this team showed no quit when they had there backs on the wall and fought til the end. Defense has really been stepping up when Robstown needed them the most. I like to call it the "Bend but don't break" Defense. I look for Robstown to hopefully keep the turnovers down and just play ball. Next week will be the test when Robstown travles to play a fast Raymondille team. But first thing is first and that's taking care of Orange Grove.

Key notes from other games. The Lyford vs. Miller game will be huge for the fact that if Miller loses to Lyford, Robstown punches their ticket to the D1 playoff bracket. LOL D2 this year is stacked with talented teams and should be fun to watch.

Robstown had 2 drives with bad snaps pushing them back to a long situation. Right now Robstown is driving.

7-0 Robstown with a Randy Flores run. A block punt set up the drive inside the 5. Before the Orange Grove drive, a scary moment for one of the Robstown players. The center wentfor a fumble and took a nasty hit to his back. Everything looks fine as he went in the next scoring drive.

You got that right Sintonfan lol took me awhile to dust off this page when I found it. Orange Grove aint moving the ball as much as Robstown.The wind also isn't helping either team. We are getting a good southeastern gust that is affecting the passing game. Let's see if we start adding more points to the scoreboard the second half.

14-6 xp missed by OG with 7:30 to go. Robstown doesn't look like to be taking this game serious. They are really messing around on offense trying out a lot of plays. Defense on the other hand has been doing their job besides that last score.
