The Sinton scores in favor of Sinton were 25-13, 25-15 and 25-10.
The Sinton Junior Varsity girls won 25-19 and 25-18 to win overall 2-0. These girls had lost to Goliad for their only district loss and were determined to win this one to night which they did in matches well played by both sides.
The Sinton Freshmen also won 2-0 in two great close matches 27-25 and 25-21.

With this win Sinton cinches at least a tie for first place and a guaranteed playoff participate. Their record is now 8-0. Rockport-Fulton is two games behind and probably beat Mathis and is at 6-2. Unfortunately the big match tonight is Ingleside vs Aransas Pass and I don't know when we will get that result.

Ingleside also won the JV match while Aransas Pass won the Freshmen match. Rockport-Fulton also won the JV match against Mathis.

In District 31AAA it was Orange Grove over Raymonville 3-0. Orange Grove is in good shape in district at 8-0. West Oso defeated Corpus Christi Miller 3-0 and is 6-2 in district.

In District 30AAA the standings as of 10-20-10 are as follows:

1. Sinton at 8-0.
2. Rockport-Fulton (RF) at 6-2
3. Ingleside at 5-3
4. Goliad at 3-5
5. Aransas Pass at 2-6
6. Mathis at 0-8

Sinton has cinched at least a tie for the district. The only team that could catch them is RF and if so there would be a playoff match to decide who represents as champions or runner-ups or possible a coin flip.
Ingleside will cinch at least third place if they beat Mathis as expected this Friday. They could possible catch RF and have a match off or coin flip for third and runner-up.
Goliad has a mathematical chance of catching Ingleside but this is unlikely since Ingleside will be favored to beat Mathis in volleyball this Friday. Football may be a different story. :)

Sinton will cinch the district championship if they win the match with Aransas Pass this Friday. This is not a certainty because Aransas Pass (AP) has played well lately and the games with Ingleside were very close. AP is no doubt one of the best 2-6 district teams in the state and one of the best teams to not be in the playoffs.

Mathis and AP do not have any chance of making the playoffs and Goliad is very slim so it looks like Sinton, RF and Ingleside will be in the playoffs.

How do volleyball playoffs work. Is there a Div 1 and 2 or just one division?
