1. Oklahoma I'd heard earlier that OU would probably top the BCS over Oregon.

I have only seen Oregon and Oklahoma once each this year. I think Oregon pounds OU.

OU plays at undefeated Mizzou this Saturday night. Could the Tigers beat them?

If Oregon loses and OU and Boise State end up in the BCS title game, do you think the Sooners will be a little bit more prepared than last time they played the Broncos?

Big 12 is waaayy down...I dont think OU loses the rest of the regular season

you can not justify OU being #1 with their games against Utah St, Air Force, and Cincy. Yeah they beat FSU and Texas but FSU hasn't always looked impressive and Texas had just gotten totally embarrassed by UCLA. I can not believe Oregon isn't #1

THIS!!!

I still think OU is going to have problems with Mizzou, and Okie State...maybe somebody else like Baylor or Tech as well.

so much for style points? Oregon has been putting a lot of points on the board and just trashing almost all they have played.

I was very surprised that OU is where they are.....and who ever the big xii is down or weak this year............the big xii is weak every year.

OU is there because They beat Texas and Texas has just beat Nebraska. It makes the victory over Texas even bigger than it was. Im more and more conviced that the BCS is a bunch of BS. Its become a Joke.

OkieState is a fraud team getting by right now....they are not a player for any BigCow conference title....Tech is just that bad right now and still Tech had some chances to keep up in the game - they just choked on the chances.....Mizzou is looking pretty good, but OU won't have any problem with OkieSt...

OU has beaten Utah State by 7, Air Force by 3 (both of those games at home), and Cincinnati by 2.
Those are BCS #1 performances? No way.
They also rank 71st in total defense lol

It's laughable that they are #1. Oregon, Boise and Auburn all have way more impressive wins than the Sooners.

LOL beating A&M and Tech makes them pretty fraudalent!

lol They're young on D. I expected them to have trouble with Tech's experience at wideout, but they really didn't. OU certainly has more talent, but Bedlam in Stillwater, from what I've gathered from even OU fans, anything can happen.

I hear that many of the coaches who vote in the coaches poll refuse to rank Boise St. higher than 3rd. I hate that kind of elitism bias.

As for the BCS rankings (or any other), OU is not worthy of a #1. Oregon is more deserving and so is Boise St and TCU. Has anyone here watched Oregon play? Their QB played 5A ball in Houston. Their offense could be the best in the country...very explosive and fun to watch.

any chance that Auburn wins out and is left on the outside looking in again?

Yes. I say no. I don't think the winner of the SEC, if UNDEFEATED, gets left out. I think they'd edge out Oregon. Does the Pac-10 have a championship game?

Nope, but last time Auburn got left out, a Pac-10 team was playing Oklahoma in the National Championship. And Auburn beat four top-ten teams along the way, including Tennessee twice.

Let's say Oklahoma, Oregon, Boise, and TCU go undefeated along with Auburn. Looks like Auburn will have to dispatch South Carolina (#12), Arkansas (#12), LSU (#6), Bama (currently #8), and then the SEC East Champion. Who gets left out?

OU, TCU, Boise and Oregon had high expectations coming into this season and they met all of them. On the other hand, if Auburn goes undefeated they'll have to pass through a tough slate to get there.

Same situation as 2004. I say we leave out OU as payback.

There's a good chance of that happening. Les Miles is (still) coaching that team. He'll drag you down to his level of stupidity and beat you with experience. :D
