I think scheduling a soft group of teams hurt Mathis in this game.

This one looks pretty tuff:
Hondo
Rio Hondo
C.C.West Oso
Robstown
Orange Grove
Rockport Fulton
Ingleside
Aransas Pass

Good grief, 76 plays to 43. Kept the ball away from the ball-control offense.

From the sound of it, that may be about the only way to beat your boys.

Only one small problem with that theory.

Only one small problem with that theory. Mathis will now have to beat Rockport to make the playoffs. Its now the winner of Mathis and Rockport game gets in. Mathis win or lose against Sinton will still come down to last game of the season to see if they get in.

Standings
Sinton 3-0 ( has clinched a playoff berth)
Ingleside 2-1 (win over Mathis, has Rockport next friday)
Rockport 2-1 (has Ingleside and Mathis left)
Mathis 2-1 (has Sinton and Rockport left)

Yep, exactly what I was thinking, and I don't see them beating Sinton.

Hey I know we have Sinton coming into Mathis next friday but what makes you think we cant beat sinton. Yes I know its sinton and there tough whatever but what Im trying to say if Ingleside could beat Mathis who was undefeated Mathis might just pull an upset. Last year we beat Ingleside and almost beat Sinton. Anything is possible anything as you can tell by last night, right?

Last year has no bearing whatsoever on this year.

Sinton will have to play agressive against the run to force some punts otherwise I think Mathis can control the clock if Sinton plays bend and dont break. Sinton will attack deep like last year but can also grind it out if they need to. I think Sinton should win but its not a given as Mathis is very good offensively.

Based on common opponents (Ingleside, Aransas Pass, and Orange Grove), Sinton would mathematically appear to be a 22 point favorite. Then you have to figure in that Sinton starters only played 3 quarters against Ingleside and Aransas Pass and Orange Grove was Sinton's first game of the year. I could be wrong, but it doesn't appear that Mathis has subbed for their starters yet. I'm well aware that between these three you can usually throw the records out the window, but I don't see Sinton/Mathis being that close this year.

i believe i've read they havent played their starters more than 3 qtrs with the excepiton of the first game of the year. some games they played only half the game.

And that right there could have been one of the advantages that Ingleside had. A good majority of Ingleside players have had to go both ways and play all 4 quarters in most of the games.

I can't say anything because someone always has something to say!! I understand that sinton is playing really good ball but just because we lost last night we're not going to lay down and let sinton pass all over us!!! Every comment I put down I always have someone to shoot it down!!! I'm out numbered here!!!! &*]&

If you outnumbered or not it doesn't matter. You continue to support your team. Heck there is only a handful of Ingleside posters this year and we have supported our team no matter win or lose. As what others have said. What matters is the final score at the end of the game.
