I was at the Vic. East - PLC game last week. Vic. East is scary fast. They're a little undisciplined sometimes and about four of East's players play both ways. They're good though.

Calallen played them (Vic East) in early September...we fell behind 21-0 but rallied to win 39-35. We actually abandoned the spread and came back on them using the Wing T if you can believe that. We had 422 yds rushing that night...

This week must have been "trap" week! GP going down.... Rockport just sneaking by AP, Flower Bluff flipped the switch and decided to play and almost pulled off a win vs. the Calallen. Robstown keeping Miller in the game.........just a crazy, crazy night for football.

Vict. East would not be where they are right now without Ervin Yates, transferred in from Edna. He's that dual threat player you need in Mickey Finley's system.

I live here in vic and I've been going to the east titan games let me tell you that there really fast you notonly have to worry about the back cuz the qb will take off and run. What he does best he throws on the run and throws the ball deep!!! This have step up there run defense since calallen. Did really well against calhoun. As for the west team there good too with a record of 5-2 they beat floresville last night so there 2-0 in district. Next week they play at calhoun should be a great game!! Victoria east won las night beat beeville 35-7!!!

Will not happen as long as Mickey is still there.......Even though other 4A schools have played the Gobblers around the area, Mickey will not play Cuero for some reason. Over the last 7-8 years Cuero has played
GP, Rockport,Beeville,Bay City,PL,Lockhart just to name a few in the area. Calallen also will not play Cuero for some reason. This is why its so hard every two years to put togeather a good non-disctric schedule,most years the Gobblers have to look a long way just to find games.

Nothing wrong looking far away for a game CD. Like meeting half way to face the likes of Gilmer or Brownwood. In our area, Cuero and LaVernia only one's willing to take their show on the road no matter where and against whom. Wish Refugio would do it in 2A. Like maybe in Waco versus Daingerfield in 2012:)
