Comments: Flatonia beat Louise, Shiner and Flatonia are ahead of Louise in district play. Iola Lady Bulldogs are rebuilding but it is looking more like reloading as the Bulldogs are 21-5. Savoy swept Roxton in 17-A play to stay undefeated with scores of 25-13, 25-21, 25-15. Caitlin McClain led the Cards in kills with 10, Bailey McGehee had 9 kills, Emily Cornell had 6 kills and Natalie Brasher had 4 kills. Whitney Cooke handed out 25 assists. Caitlin McClain led the Cards in digs with 11, Bailey McGehee had 9 digs and Natalie Brasher had 6 digs. Bailey McGehee led the Cards in serving with 7 aces. West Hardin beat Colmesneil. Thrall is 8-0 and Milano is 7-1. Thrall swept Milano 3-0 on Tuesday night, breaking the Lady Eagles 25 straight district game winning streak. Cayuga defeated Cross Roads in 5 games. In the match Shawnta Knox had 17 kills and Danielle Anderson had 17 kills. Cayuga is 24-10 on the season. Not sure you received the update. Colmesneil defeated Chester 3-0 in a match that lasted less than 40 minutes 25-15, 25-11, 25-8 then beat Burkeville 3-0 in a match that lasted just 50 minutes. Colmesneil is now 2-0 in district. Water Valley is 20-14, 5-1 in district with their only loss in four sets to Bronte. Bronte won the fourth set 31-29. Water Valley swept Miles. Iola beat Mumford and North Zulch to improve to 24-6. Evadale and Colmesneil are tied for district at 3-0.

Comments: Denver City made a big jump as they improved to 28-1 including a win over 3A power Monahans. Woodville is 20-3 after sweeping Corrigan Camden. After a tough pre-district schedule of 3A, 4A, and 5A schools, the Bushland Lady Falcons are undefeated in District 1-2A with a 4-0 District record, and an overall record of 21-13. The Lady Falcons are playing solid ball offensively and defensively and have not given up a game in any of their district matches. Prairiland defeated Leonard 25-10, 25-9, 25-9 and defeated Rivercrest 25-11, 25-18, 25-17. Anderson-Shiro is 22-9 this season and 5-1 in district, only losing to Centerville (25-21, 21-25, 16-25, 21-25). Rogers defeated Cameron Yoe in 5. Cayleigh Drake, No. 2 in kills, had 34 kills, 10 blocks and 10 digs. Yoe and Rogers are on a collision course for a playoff tiebreaker to determine 27-2A's No. 1 seed. They've split four matches this season already. Woodville lost to Hemphill 0-3 as Woodville’s starting middle rolled her ankle the day before and did not play. Grape Creek beat Sonora 25-10, 25-10, 25-11 and Colorado City 26-24, 25-20, 25-23. Whitney beat Clifton 25-15, 25-7, 25-16 to improve to 29-2, 8-0.

Comments: Pampa swept a good Dalhart team on Saturday to open district 1-3A play. Pampa is a strong 20-11 overall with a lot of losses against 4A & 5A schools. LaGrange took down Caldwell in four to improve to 29-4 and 3-0 in district while the Hornets of Caldwell fell to 20-12. Bridge City is leading their district. Monahans swept Fort Stockton and Seminole while Wimberley beat Canyon Lake and Navarro. Gatesville is 26-5 after beating Lorena and Robinson. Texarkana Pleasant Grove is 24-8 and 3-0 in district with wins over North Lamar, Texarkana Liberty Eylau and Atlanta setting up a showdown with Paris, also 3-0 in district. Abbie Pickett is averaging 11 kills per game and Molly Minton is averaging 15 digs per match. Pleasant Grove was 5-1 in the White Oak tournament with their only loss to 4A Hallsville. Paris North Lamar beat Texarkana Liberty Eylau. Emory Rains is 24-7 on the season. Gatesville remained unbeaten in 19-3A with wins over Connally and China Spring to close out the first round. Senior OH Janey Phillips had school-record 31 kills in win over China Spring. Hornets are now 28-5 overall. Monahans beat Midland Greenwood. Tarkington and Huffman-Hargrave are both hot and winning while Celina defeated Anna 3-1 and Van Alstyne 3-0 to improve to 31-5. Decatur is 25-9 and unbeaten in district play at the half way mark The Commerce Lady Tigers beat Bullard 21-25, 25-21, 25-16, 25-15 and Bonham 25-11, 25-18, 24-26, 25-16. Commerce is now 30-4 and 4-0 in district 10-3A. The powerful Lovejoy Leopards improved to 34-3 by crushing Prosper 25-7, 25-15, 25-15 as Ebony Nwanebu had 13 kills and Andie Malloy added four kills with her 20 assists.

Comments: Port Neches-Groves is undefeated in District play while Lake Travis had an out of district night and beat 5A Leander while Richardson Pearce continues to win. The Frenship Tiger Volleyball team is 5-2 in District with losses to Dumas and Canyon Randall. Frenship is 24-8 overall. Frenship has a pair of wins over El Paso Riverside. Brenham has beaten Montgomery (4-3) and Stratford (5-2), improving to 6-1 in district, tied with Magnolia. The Dumas Demonettes ran their record to 28-9, 8-1 in district by completing a 3 match road swing thru Plainview, Hereford & Frenship and coming away with three consecutive sweeps of three quality 3-4A opponents. Frenship, at 25-9, 6-3 is third in district play after beating Plainview. The Aledo Ladycats are 27-8, 9-0 in District 5-4A. The Richardson Pearce Mustangs improved to 35-3 by beating Wylie East 25-12, 25-10, 25-8 as Lauren English had eight kills and Sophie Orlich notched six kills. Amy Neal smacked 11 kills as Lake Travis kept pace by sweeping Vandergrift 25-10, 25-15, 25-15 to improve to 37-2.

Comments: Stony Point swept Georgetown to move into first place in district 16 while traditional power Round Rock had a tough week for losing to both Stony Point and Georgetown but the Dragons rallied to beat Pflugerville. Westlake swept Austin Bowie. Cy Woods is 35-1 in first while Cy-Fair is 11-2 after beating Cy-Creek. Both Cy Fair losses are to Cy-Woods. Cy-Fair's overall record is now at 25-8 with a pretty impressive schedule of opponents that included losses to Klein Oak and Corpus Christi King. Klein Oak is 31-2 after blasting spring Westfield. Copperas Cove is 27-8 after beating Killeen Ellison and Killeen Shoemaker while College Park is playing well after the return of middle blocker Katie Mitchell and are leading district 14-5A with a record of 7-1 after beating Kingwood 25-23, 17-25, 25-9, 23-25, 21-19. Top ranked Corpus Christi King improved to 34-3 by beating cross town rival Carroll 26-24, 22-25, 25-14, 25-17. Three time state finalist Westlake Chaparrals is 35-2 after beating Anderson 25-15, 25-14, 25-12 and the high flying Lewisville Hebron Hawks are 33-6 after bouncing Plano 25-15, 25-23, 25-19. Marcus Marauders swept Flower Mound 25-23, 25-12, 25-23 while Grapevine Mustangs swept Irving Nimitz 25-8, 25-7, 25-12. Also winning were: San Antonio Reagan, Southlake Carroll, Coppell, McKinney Boyd and New Braunfels
