This could be the shortest game of the year. Get your stop watches ready. I know China Spring ran the slot-t also...but, not really. It seemed as if they were in shotgun as much as they were under center.

LH (4-2, 1-0) put 57 on the board last week against Salado. LH rushed for 511 yards in this game.

Taylor (1-5, 0-1) Lost to Llano(4-2, 1-0) 26-30. Llano had an 80 yard pass play that ended the Ducks chance at win #2. The Ducks lone win was against the senior less Vandergrift (3-4).

When any offense is ran poorly then they are boring. But, when it is ran well, the Slot-T is quite entertaining.

boring is watching spread teams go 3 incomplete passes and punt or sack, snap over head, run screen then punt.

I can understand this offense to be called "boring". And I suppose it IS boring, just like:

1) Old black and white classic movies are boring
2) Classic Rock from the 60's is boring
3) Old classic cars are boring
4) Old guitars are boring

Look, it might not be the "3-D movie" or a new rap song that you think is all the rage...but I guarantee you this...when run properly with the right talent, it's a beautiful thing. and a Slot-T WILL win championships again.

Maybe one of these years, the team you support will make it far enough to get to see how boring it is in the flesh. :p

The "boring" Slot-T offense that the LH Panthers run has accomplished some pretty amazing things in the past few years. I believe it was in 04 when they had the 3rd highest rushing total in the history of high school football in the US. Then they happened to win 2 State Championships in back to back years all the while winning 38 games in a row.

That was a boring thing to watch now that I reflect.

Actually, the Panthers were fortunate to beat Salado last week. The Salado QB threw for 300+ yds and were it not for a couple of 2nd half turnovers, the game could have gone the other way. I'm looking for a close game at Taylor.
LH - 28
Taylor - 21

You are mistaken. The Panthers gave the ball away as well...once inside their own 5 yard line. The Panthers are a much better team than Salado...as well as Taylor.

The score was 21-18 at half. The final was 57-32, LH missed two short field goals and gave the ball away inside their own 5 yard line. Sounds like it could have been much worse for the eagles.
