Pittsburg got blown out for the second week in a row. First, Tatum beat them 41-17, the Carthage put a whoopin' on them this week to the tune of 50-11. It looks to me like Pittsburg will be the last place team district 16-3A. With the rest of the teams it looks like a toss-up. There is no clear favorite at this point.

Scores from the first week of the "District of Doom":D :

Gilmer 36, Gladewater 35, OT
Carthage 50, Pittsburg 11
Henderson 34, Spring Hill 25

I agree with you, this district could go to who ever can show up on the next Friday with enough healthy players. If Gilmer was 100% I would go with them winning the district. Carthage has me baffled, they beat some very good teams and then get blowed out by Chapell Hill and Nac. and then turn around and blow out Center and Pitt. Hard to tell which Carthage team will show up.
Henderson should beat Pitt by a bunch, but in this district you never know. After Friday nights scores nothing is a gimme. Springhill and Gladewater has proven that are contenders, sleep on either one of them and you loose.

With Polk back I would take Henderson.... I am interested in SH/GW. The winner of that one will be one upset away from sliding into the 3rd spot.
