Who's your pick and why? Are you coming to the game?

Of course I will be there with Tator Tot. Welcome to Caldwell, Hornet Field and the SWARM.

Go Hornets...

Of course I will pick Giddings (see screen name)

I am hearing good things about Caldwell but I think we can beat them. Yes I know they beat Brookshire.. but you can't always use that as a gauge because Brookshire was pretty flat that night.

Giddings will prevail. Good feelings coming off a LG win, and Fitzhenry's overall 70th win in Giddings will help us pull out the W.

Caldwell should come out prepared and ready to play this week. From what it sounded like, Smithville was a trap game more than anything, with it being squeezed between the Royal and Giddings game.

I'm predicting Caldwell to win by at least 7 at home.

It is always a great game between these two towns, should be a fun time!

I'm going with the Hornets. Should be fun in Navasota next Friday when the swarm comes to Grimes County.

I actually like being the underdog (since like, forever) in this one. I like our chances with what I've seen if we can only hold onto the ball. Both of our losses can be attributed to fumbles. Our turnover ratio is killing us.

Caldwell is looking good this year though i havent seen Giddings play in person this year. Gidding is always a good team and its looking like Caldwell is gonna be first in district. Regardless of records and rankings im sure this one will be a good game. I wish both of these teams good luck and cant wait till we get back in 3A to our old schedules where we play both of these teams in the same year. Good luck Buffs' and 'Hornets

I said Caldwell would go 10-0, Caldwell is at home and will win this one by 14 points.

I sure hope Giddings will win, but Caldwell always plays Giddings tough- especially at home. With that said, here is my prediction- the winner of this game will play in the "Winner" spot in the small school Div II playoff bracket and the loser will play in the "Runner Up" spot- this assumes Navasota goes to the big school Div I bracket of course.

Caldwell is much better than most realize. I suspect that they had a little letdown after Brookshire Royal and were really more focused on this weeks game than on Smithville. But, you can bet that they will be focused this week.

Caldwell will put relentless pressure on the Giddings offense and force them to make every play perfectly. They will take advantage of any Buff mistake (fumble) and turn them into points.

On offense the Caldwell Slot T is getting to be nearly as impressive as the LH teams of a few years ago. Most of the state does not get to see this offense run this effectively very often.

Playing in Caldwell is always worth ten extra points for the Hornets.

Caldwell 28
Giddings 14.

to close to call in my book. but if i had to pick i would go with giddings by a nose. but the thing about giddings is if there going to win they are going to have to keep the turn overs to under 2 fumbles. any more than that and caldwell takes it.

Hornets will put the sting on Buffs. Buffs o-fence has to get better to pull out victory. Scout Smithville for o-fence tactics to have a chance! Caldwell by 21.
