Not trying to make excuses but Van did have 11 players with staff infections including several with MRSA (these starters didn't play-two were hospitalized). Made the Tyler news.

However, Crandall is a solid team and needs to be considered.

Crandall did beat Van and AM Smith,

but they also lost to Brownsboro 44-7, a team that Van beat in Brownsboro in overtime.

The reality is after the first major grouping of teams there are a lot of not quite as good teams that keep beating up on each other.

Crandall also lost to Commerce 36-6. So any team 15-25 that i put up there is going to have lost to a team that isn't ranked.

AM Smith is a good argument, though, especially since they struggled against Ranchview this week. But to be honest, 13-3A isn't very strong this year and Ranchview would probably be doing a lot better this year record wise if they were playing there, and not playing Celina, Prosper, Aubrey and others in pre-district.

So therein lies my problem lol. Crandall has been in a funk for about five years now and are not the same team they used to be.
They have been one of the teams that could've moved up in the earlier in the season but they were beaten badly back-to-back by Commerce and Brownsboro, and Commerce is not a lock for the playoffs in 10-3A-they still have to beat Anna to get there.

Crandall has now won 3-0 since then and is looking better, so if they continue to improve then they will move up.

I like where you have Gladewater in this poll. They not a bad team and I predict they are gonna beat someone in district that they are not supposed to. That was dang near US!!

Sanger sure is low for a 6-0 record.
