Googled allsups and it looks like Sachse or Lake Dallas. There's a map of all locations!

Ernest---just go to the one in PP, it is much closer for you than LD

Ernest T Bass
10-05-2010, 03:16 PM
Not hardly, BC. LD is just a few miles from home. PP is a good 30-40 minutes further.

Better than freebirds or Zooka's here in San Marcos?

Now you got me craving one. Too bad the nearest one is an hour away from me. There are Allsups all over Texas after you get to Stephenville and westward. Sville has a couple of em, Bwood has 3... they dominate in the small towns in west Texas and even in eastern New Mexico.

The wife is gone for the evening so I may just take a shot at deep frying a bean and cheese burrito and see what it comes out like!

The one in Princeton (someone said there used to be one; I thought it was still there) is the easternmost Allsup's.

You can find their locations here:

Paradise, Texas?
Trucked on up 35 last night and got me a gut grenade. Ahh, sweet memories. The only, and I mean the ONLY thing I miss about Jack County, America, is 2 gut grenades and a tallsup at 3 am.

I must have eaten a thousand of those Allsups burritos down through the years. I try to avoid them now, but occasionally the urge is just too strong. Got em 3 for $1 many times back in the day. Add a bag of bbq or chili cheese fritos and a tallsup, made a pretty decent lunch, or sober up snack at 2 am.

Frozen pre-packaged burrito deep fried in what is usually 3 to 5 day old grease. Next it must sit under a heat lamp in a crusty grease splattered glass display case for a minimum of two days.

Try to pick out the ones that are turning an orange color from congealed grease and flour mix. Next get the Allsups Taco sauce package but make sure you open it after you start driving down the road so it can run off the rock hard burrito and onto you shirt.

Good with soft drink, beer, boones farm or any number of beverages, however consumpsion of adult beverages is recommended several hours before your meal.

We don't have any in South Texas, but funny I was watching an episode of City Confidential yesterday and they showed the Allsup's in Archer City. It looked to be the "happening place" in Archer City.

You know, in case anyone is interested in investing in a promising business opportunity. There are no breakfast taquito places here in Stillwater. Mexican restaurants only serve lunch and dinner. I was shocked and disheartened. :(
