I know very little about BS other than they have a pretty good dual threat Qb. What I do know is this, Brownwood is really good right now, and it's at home. Of course I'm picking my Lions. Anyone have any insight on Big Spring?

Thoughts.......

I saw them vs Monahans and the QB was more of run threat he really struggled with some of the throws that he needs to be able to make to beat the good teams in that game, but that was many weeks ago Im sure he has improved in that area. He is short but fast trys to run lots of zone read plays out of the spread option at times he could remind you Michigans QB style not that he is at that level but this is how they try to use him. They have good athletes and are getting better every week there special teams are very dangourous they returned almost every kickoff vs Monahans to at least midfield wich is an area were MHS was weak on early but have improved since. Big Spring has always had great athletes just never had the ones that make the total commitment to improve as
Football players but the program is doing much better now.

One thing about BS these days is that they have a good staff, so they will be prepared, but they don't have the athletes to match up with ya'll this year.

I read in DCTF that they have 3 large linemen. Should be fun for our quick Defensive front to run around them and keep them winded.

It said they lost all of there skill positions but retained much of their line on both sides of the ball. Who knows. It'll be fun watching a very mobile QB.

big spring had 5 turnovers vs. monahans not to mention it was homecoming..one of the 5 were caused..not a good measuring stick...5 senior linemen who are helping average roughly 250 yards rushing per game...theyre a good team

I think they will score a couple, but I think BW has too much offense for them to stay close. BW 35-14.

Streaks are made to be broken, but the 2010 Brownwood Lions first-team offense is in the midst of a run that may never come close to being duplicated by this — or any other school’s — football program.

Heading into Friday’s District 5-3A opener against the Big Spring Steers at Gordon Wood Stadium, the Lions starting offensive unit has scored on 25 consecutive possessions. Of those 25 drives, 23 resulted in touchdowns.

My favorite part of the artical is where Merket say's
We know we will never have a perfect game, but we will try to be as perfect as we can. As far as potential, that's difficult to say. We are probaly clicking at about 65 percent of our potential.
