How is a 1-4 team ranked at 20?

Cause they are very good. And have played nothing but solid opponents. Tougher schedule than anyone else on this list IMO. And, I'd say they would beat 90-95% on this list. To me, as a fan that has seen them play a few times, they are ranked too low.

Who have they played?
I figured that was the reason. Just curious.

LaVernia has played:

Wylie, lost 21-7
Canyon Lake, lost 24-19
Giddings, won 21-20
Wimberley, lost 35-21
Cuero, lost 21-14

Now, they finally get a creme puff to play in Yoakum this Friday. This could be 60-0 blowout with them releasing some frustration. They could very well be 4-1 instead of 1-4.

That is a tough schedule.

What district are they in?

28-3A with Cuero, Yoakum, Gonzales, Sam Houston, Pleasanton and Poteet.

The Bears have played a very tough schedule, but at the same time they have played very bad. Almost a Jekyll and Hyde thing within the same game. One quarter moving the ball up and down the field and making defensive stops, and other times putting the ball on the ground routinely and not being able to make a tackle to save their life. If they could play at a more consistent level and not spot good teams 2 and 3 touchdown leads to start the game, they would have a much better record.
But, talk is cheap, they need to perform on the field. The scoreboard is what counts.

Hold on.
I am getting older, and I can't remember everything, but I think Yoakum beat us in bi-district last year?

You are right, but this years Bulldogs are nothing like last year's Bulldogs. Guess those seniors carried that team last year.
