So district is just around the corner and I find it kinda funny that there are 3 sets of pirates in the same district so who is the better team???

Mathis is averaging 53.4 points a game and are 5-0 going into district play.

Tuloso-Midway
W 29-22

Bishop
W 62-6

Kingsville
W 60-37

Orange Grove
W 47-12

Zapata
W 69-20

Sinton is averaging 34 points a game and are 4-0 going into district play.

9/3 Hondo
W 24-13

Rio Hondo
W 43-7

West Oso
W 34-6

Robstown
W 35-14

Rockport-Fulton is averaging 22.25 points a Game and are 3-2 going into district play.

Orange Grove
W 49-6

Flour Bluff
W 24-0

Moody
W 37-24

Gregory-Portland
L 9-24

Calhoun
L 7-35

So as I see it R-P has had the tougher opponents followed by sinton then mathis ....so I ask the question which pirates will be able to call themselves the REAL pirates of 30-3a and prevail as district champs??? Or could all 3 fall to either Ingleside (3-1), goliad (2-3), or aransas pass (2-3)..but with 3 pirates in the district, the chances of a pirate becoming district champs are 50%....

I agree. It looks like Rockport has played the toughest schedule.

I'd give the odds that A PIRATE team will win district something like 85%.:nerd:

True, but I did the percentage as if it was a raffle considering that out of the 6 teams in that district 3 are pirates ..so that would be 50%....right? :helpme:

Sinton 6-2 against Mathis since 2000
Sinton 7-4 against Ingleside since 2000 but 1-3 the last 4 years

I was there. It was clear we were robbed that game. I was standing in the endzone right next to the receiver that caught the game winning touchdown. That official was clearly grooving you that game.:nerd:

When it comes to these 3 high powered offenses....I would think so

They've been using the long drives to keep their defense fresh which is why i said if the offense is the best defense as that approach gives the opposition very few times with the ball thus less chance of them scoring alot of points.

True.
I've been to few Sinton-Rockport games.
Those games always stick out as good ole fashioned slobber-knockers. Very intense.

Mathis developing a aerial attack?! Who have they played so far? Sinton has played decent teams so far and Rockports played the bigger schools so if ur thinking these 3 teams will be closed ur mistaken 1 of them (mathis) will be out of the race midway through district and it'll be between sinton and rockports game who will be 30-3A champs

They have break away runners and deceiveptive offense. Sinton struggles against this offense like last night when they play the bend and dont break approach. Still going to be a 4 team race for the 3 spots.
