First off, it's been a long long time since Decatur 'spanked Bridgeport every year'. Since Coach Henson arrived our record has changed considerably from the times when the outcome was a foregone conclusion.

Second, I would say their football program is in a rebuilding year....?

when's the last time Decartur made the playoffs? it's been a while right? i suppose they have been "re-building" ever since then.:thinking: . even back when Bridgeport was getting "spanked" by decatur bport still managed to be good enough to get a playoff spot and make it 2 or 3 rounds deep which is more than what decatur has done in recent past.

eagle fans talk about "re-building" when the cold hard truth is that Decatur kind of has been sucky for a while now and they have continued being bad ever since their "glory days" came to an end.:clap:

really don't know how much of it is Decatur having poor athletes or Decatur having bad coaches, IF they don't make the playoffs this year it will be because of poor coaching. Decatur seems to be quite decent this season.

Burk is having one of those tough seasons and Decatur is playing fairly well, so I think the Eagles will win this one by 14 or so tonight. However---if the Burk kids get their backs up with a "We've had enough" effort--- things could get interesting.

first off..in the dane and christian era and then the cobb and trantvyears the eagles owned the bulls...sorry but thats the truth. Second, its been just two years since the eagles havnt been to the playoffs. Third, I would say there arn't as many explosive offensive weapons as in the past. Not sure if stor's job will be in trouble tho.
