Ooooook, so Sunday I worked out for the first time in like a year and a half. Yesterday I felt fine, but today if been so sore. Just got back from the gym and couldn't do hardly anything. How do you get soreness out? All upper body, mainly arms

Soreness is always worse the second day. The best remedy for soreness, get back in there and do it again, only lighter weight. You gotta work the soreness out.

Stretch after you workout. It won't eliminate it all, but sure will help.

Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness is what you are experiencing. Not that I'm old (only 30) i can say that my muscles don't recover as well as they used to. I've been at it hard for 11 months mixing lifting and cardio as much as 8 sessions a week. Some days go morning and evening.

The soreness, believe it or not, gets better to cope with but never goes away. I take Creatine from GNC as directed by the label, a multi-vitamin and drink a ton of water to help with muscle recovery. I do this only for about 6-8 weeks and then go cold-turkey for about 6 weeks. During the 6 weeks off my soreness is much harder to cope with.

To make a long story short Creatine helps me. Make sure you drink lots of water because it has been linked to Kidney Stones:doh:

Stretching and a proper cool-down is also a necessity after every workout. Stretching on your off days is also a necessity.

Good Luck
