Got a chance to go see the Rangers raise the American League West Championship flag tonight.

Also got to meet Chuck Greenberg. I hope the Rangers go far in the playoffs. Heard today they will go with a 3 man rotation in the playoffs!

I also got a picture of that movie star from the TV series CHASE...it was funny having a picture with him and looking up and seeing him on TV...lolol what a blast it was tonight at the Rangers game.

JEALOUS!! What a great opportunity! Not so much the Chase guy, what with me never having seen it, but I think Chuck Greenburg is awesome.

And yes, they said on the news this morning it'll be Cliff Lee, CJ Wilson, and...Colby Lewis, I think? Not Tommy Hunter, which is who I might have picked as my third starter.

Man how sweet it is to see the boys get back to playing in October. As the late great Sam Cooke once so soulfully sang, "It's been a long, a long time comin..." I must say though, if I had to go with a 3 man rotation, Hunter would've been my 3rd...but that's just my opinion.

And from the Dallas Morning News....

The conquering heroes came home from the west coast Monday, and before a new division championship banner could be unfurled in left field, hope for an even better future was being delivered by Fox Sports Southwest.

The Rangers are getting a new 20-year television deal, believed to be valued at about $1.6 billion or $80 million per year, from Fox. The deal is expected to be front-loaded or "Cliff Lee-loaded" if you choose to view it in that manner.

A lot of the big increases from their current deal (which paid approximately $40 million per year) won't come rolling in until the new contract starts in 2015. Even if it's not quite the rags-to-riches tale that was first reported by USA Today on Monday afternoon as a $3 billion deal, it's enough to keep the Rangers competing for division titles into the near future and beyond.
