TAFT — Taft athletic director and football coach Pete Guajardo announced Friday morning the Greyhounds football game scheduled against Orange Grove for 7:30 p.m. Friday has been moved because of unplayable field conditions at both schools.

The game was scheduled to be played at Taft. Guajardo gave his field until this morning to dry out from this past week's rain. Guajardo said he talked with Orange Grove coach John Hall of moving the game to Orange Grove earlier in the week, but the Bulldogs' field was pounded by rain during the week as well.

The teams will play at Calallen's Wildcat Stadium, which has artificial turf, on Saturday at 2 p.m. King and Beeville are scheduled to play there as well Saturday night to give Buc Stadium a break.

Port Isabel and Bandera were scheduled to play at 2 PM Saturday in Robstown, but due to the massive rains in the Coastal Bend, that game has been moved to Zapata at 4 PM

That will be one long road trip for Bandera, especially if they ride the yellow dogs.
