To us in Gilmer, we think that Daingerfield is our biggest rivalry. We play them this week by the way.:eek: ;) We will have to have our best effort so far to beat them. Another bigger rivalry than Tatum for us would be Gladewater, in my opinion. Battle of G-Towns, orange and black, similar sized schools, same county....

Leon....the Everman Kennedale rivalry might be replaced by Everman Crowley.

Kennedale and Everman unfortunatley don't play anymore...

Everman vs Crowley is a better game. But anytime Everman and Kennedale get on the field, court, track, etc...its STILL gets pretty heated.

No. They used to have a black "G" inside an orange bear claw, but now I don't think they have anything on their helmets. They went to plain black helmets a few years back, I think. Gilmer still has the "G" on their helmet. Funny how they keep accusing us of copying them, while we think it's the other way around.;)

FYI: CS and Gatesville are not big rivals...gatesville might feel that way!

How about Giddings/La Grange? 20 miles apart and have played every year since 1940, this year being the 91st time.

Those towns are about 20 miles apart and they really pack the stands. LK is one of the top 2As and Atl is down again this year. I think this may be 1 of the only games that Atlanta may be competitive.

It is actually China Spring vs Lorena / Robinson with West a very close second. Have been playing Lorena since China Spring became a school in the early 50's. Lots of VERY BAD scores. CS scored 99 points in a game against Lorena in late 70's. Lots of interaction with folks from all of those schools outside sports most notably work and church. Very little interaction with folks form Gatesville outside of school sports.

If you went strictly on talent, CS should not even be on the same field.

It wasn't heated until we beat them in Regionals in 2007. China Spirng is still 9-3 vs LV in the 2000's

1) Pecos 78 Game ~ Monahans leads 49 wins- 25 losses- 4 ties
2) Andrews 60 Games ~ Andrews leads 31 wins- 28 losses- 1 tie
3) Fort Stockton 58 Games ~ Monahans leads 45 wins- 12 losses- 2 ties

I would have to say Pecos with more games being played.
Andrews with only 3 game Deference.
Fort Stockton is fun to give the guys at work a hard time.

The Aransas Pass/Ingleside rivalry has existed for 60+ years. The Bayrats, whoops, the Panthers hold a lead in that series but the Mustangs have cut that difference down quite a bit in the last decade.:D
