I think the Eagles made him the starter in hopes of really upping his trade value and then getting him outta Philly as soon as a good trade is proposed to them. He's the starter only as bait for a good trade that'll fill some of their holes, then it'll truly be the Kolb era.

Well aside from Kolb being injured, the Eagles
saw what Vick can do against a crappy defense
in Detroit. They play an equally crappy
defense this week when they play the Jaguars.
So, why not give him the start and give Kolb another week to recover?

the Eagles O line sucks, a more mobile quarterback in Vick just makes sense

i think they decided they will be running a lot of jail-break-screens when he is in a qb

Vick is a time bomb. yeah he is playing good now but wait till he faces a defense that really pressures him and a "ray lewis" type linebacker that sneaksup and pops him. then he wont be as eager to run and his passes will be off and then everyone will be crying for Kolb back. I say put Kolb in and leave him. Vick is a backup and should stay that way until needed like last week. In my opinion.:thinking:
