Im not chest thumping and I know some of you will say stats are for losers. But, I ran across this info and thought I would throw it out there and if any other fans have their teams info feel free to post yours as well.

Through 4 games, these are the offensive stats for Brownwood.

In the air Graylon Brown is 64 - 96 for 1052 yards 13TDs and 2 ints. On the ground as a team we have gained 784 yards and 9 TDs. Total yards is 1836 and 22TDs. Our D and special teams have scored as well. I didnt count those. These are pretty nice numbers when you consider the starting O has only played 10 of the 16 quarters so far.

Another interesting stat is 10 INT's forced by our defense...3 vs. Stephenville

Those are very impressive this early in the season. The big stat, of course, will be during the 5 weeks of the play offs.

Chastain has 4, Shipley has 3, Longoria has 1, Vacarro has 2. Feed our secondary... CHOMP CHOMP....

Brownwood forces teams into a passing situation and then hits them in the mouth and catches their passes...LOL

The Lions D is the dark horse. That's where championships are won! Hit 'em where it hurts and make 'em like it!

I know we are 26 of 28 on extra points (was 20 for 20 before last week I'm not sure what happened... the first game I've missed).

Johnny Manziel before this past friday had around 1500 total yards and 20tds. Friday he had over 400 yards and 5 or 6tds. Out of 4 games he's only played 12 quarters. Does this mean that Johnny by himself is just as good or better than the Bwood O...lol

Not at all. Hes played 2 more quarters. Honestly though, part of what keeps our yardage down is our special teams. Opposing teams are scared to punt it deep to Jaxon and on kickoffs usually pooch it. More often than not, we are operating on a short field.

If you reread my first post I am talking about our starters. They played until half the first to games. Stephenville game they played almost the whole game. Llano was again done by half.

I guess when I see "as a team" I take it as the team, not just selected players...I guess that's my bad

I'm not trying to compare West Columbia to Brownwood, but here's WC's stats just because you asked for some teams' stats.

So.....

West Columbia Roughnecks (3-1)

Passing

18/47 for 320 yards with 2 TD and 2 INT

Rushing

151 rushes for 1371 yards (9.07 ypc) and 16 TD's

Total Offense = 1691 yards (423 ypg)

Defense

7 INT's (4 by Cody Langford?) I'm not sure if this is 100% accurate, but I'll try to find out.

And West Columbia has scored at least 1 defensive TD and at least 3 Special Teams TD's.

Not positive because I've not been able to see many games. Going off newspapers and such.

West Columbia has some talent. Quite a bit of speed, but a bit undersized. The team is pretty young. Not many starters are seniors. Although, a pre-season all state lineman is a sr this year. I think the Necks will open some eyes this year, but next year is when they will do some real damage.

P.s. Watchout for Floyd Bess. Kid is only a soph and is averaging 10 ypc.

I know Rocket will try to bash WC and say how he's never heard of them or how they suck, but I was just giving some stats for comparison. Take it or leave it.
