Not sure they even need their starting QB back - backup filled in admirably Friday. What Decatur needs to do is what they've had issues with the last 2 years - tackling and penalties. If they can handle those 2 issues they will win Friday. Plus they're at home for homecoming.

Iowa Park is going to run all over them just like Gainesville did. It's going to be the Lee Clubb show Friday night in Decatur and i'm not just saying that because i'm from Bridgeport.

I hope the Eagletts win but i dont think they can stop the I.P. running attack.

since decatur has been pretty awful at stopping the run this year, and iowa park runs the ball well, i say 49-27 iowa park.

IP and Decatur have had some good battles in the past. I expect a win from Decatur but they have to execute on tackling and shutting down the outside run.

LOL) strength of schedule new guy. decatur plays gainesville, whitesboro, hirschi, and rachview. not trying to take anything away from those kids, because im sure they work as hard as the next school but they cant compete with teams on bridgeports schedule.

mama bull ...from 04 to 07 we played one of the toughest schedules in the state. ex: graham, wylie, gville in there prime, burk, sweetwater. Through those years we held our own very well. Yea you can say that our schedule is weak but until the past few years bport's schedule was pretty darn weak and yall seemed to struggle quite a bit. When your down you try to schedule teams weaker than you. That kinda back fired on yall a couple of times.

I don't think Coach Henson has EVER tried to schedule a weak preseason. We used to play Southlake Carroll every year no matter what kind of year we were having. In fact, there were times when our preseasons were exponentially harder than our regular season, which is IMO why it sometimes seems like we peak later in the year. And instead of backfiring, I tink this has helped us at least some years. The year we went 0-5 in preseason was the year we went 2 or 3 rounds deep in postseason.

That was 2001 and we won region. We went 5 deep, losing to State Champ Commerce in the semi finals... (or what ever you call the last game before the final).

Yep, that was THAT year. I'd forgotten that. Commerce won state a week after beating us, and we'd beaten everyone post season up til that point starting with our first district game. Some of my very favorite football memories happened that year. Including that awesome Kennedale game. :D :D
