No disrespect to the coaches and players who are giving it all they have...but this years team is simply painful to watch. I can't help but think how last years team not only would have beaten everyone they played so far this year...but could have blown away most of them. Yeah, that includes teams like Waco and Sville that has some size/speed advantage...past Wylie teams would have beaten them on execution and making them pay for even small mistakes...now it seems the other way around. :(

Patience.... these kids are trying to find their identity. We're spoiled as fans because of the roll Wylie has been on for the past 10 years. It's still early in the season, and they will be ready for district.

I agree. People tend forget that Wylie has not always breezed through non-district. In fact, when Coach Sandifer was asked this past week if he could even recall the last time his team started 1-2, he immediately replied by pointing out that Wylie has had a 1-2 start 3 out of the last 4 seasons. (all of those seasons worked out pretty well) I do think wins are important for confidence, etc but I think as long as they are improving and learning from these non-district games, then they will be ready for district play. I, for one, and still a believer!
